Revealed photographs of the alleged murderer of a young man in Santiago de Cuba

Independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Labrada revealed photographs of the alleged perpetrator of a homicide that occurred during a party on Camacho street in Santiago de Cuba.

The victim is a 16-year-old boy, who answered to the name of Drayan Enrique Cuevas Bueno and lived on Trocha’s 4th street. According to the journalist’s comments in another post, the mother of this teenager is confined and his father died after jumping off a building on Garzón street.

“Regarding the murderer, I was able to find out that he had previously had problems with this young man and in the first stabbing they heard him say ‘I gave it to you so you can see that I am really tough’”, the journalist related, adding that there was also a second fatal assault.

Mayeta Labrada also commented that the alleged murderer is known as “Rey”. At the moment, no further information has been revealed about this individual, and it is unknown whether the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) has an active investigation to capture him.

The journalist also shared some reflections on delinquency and youth in the Greater Antilles. “Despite the fact that many say ‘the youth are lost’, there are many Cuban youths who are not into fighting or bravado and, believe it or not, among them they give advice to get out of their bad ways,” he expressed.

Furthermore, he added: “the lack of police and governmental activity in Santiago de Cuba is a reality, regarding juvenile delinquency and the rise in criminality and murders in the streets, but I have faith that only the youth will be able to stop these regrettable incidents.”
